To help the community safely celebrate the Fourth of July, the city of Lompoc is offering applications for block parties. Lompoc Parks & Recreation is coordinating with the Lompoc Police and Fire departments to encourage community members who want to light Safe and Sane fireworks to do so in a safe environment on closed city streets. The city has designated the Johns-Manville Park parking lot as a community location that can be used to hold a permitted block party.
