The city of Lompoc is asking community members to join together and Make a Difference through service projects, 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 28. Make A Difference Day in Lompoc, hosted by Lompoc Parks and Recreation, is part of the nation's largest day of community service. The local event will be based at Lompoc City Hall, 100 Civic Center Plaza. From there, groups will head to various project sites including River Park, Barkin' Dog Park, River Bend Bike Skills Park, V Street Channel, and the Community Garden.
